Becerra Family Therapy

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. I am a Latino male therapist with pronouns he/him and I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community.I was born and raised in Los Angeles from immigrant parents of Mexican descent. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and making new memories. I am an adventurous thrill-seeking spirit. I enjoy the outdoors; hiking, camping and traveling. I enjoy practicing my creativity via different avenues, from engaging in arts and crafts, to design.

I also enjoy theme parks.  Thrill rides nurture my inner child. Roller coasters have taught me how to ride out the ups and downs that life may bring.

I graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University in 2019 with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology Marriage and Family Therapy, with an Enlaces! (Bilingual Therapy) certificate. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in the greater Los Angeles area. My overall goal is to effectively provide culturally sensitive, and inclusive mental health services to all populations.

In my experience I have found it most rewarding providing services to my community. Ranging from all Latino populations, both individuals and families alike. I have experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community understanding different aspects of the community from coming out, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

I’ve worked with clients ranging from depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, anger management, & other factors that can be interfering with their mental health. I provide a warm, calm and gentle approach with all my clients and together we foster an environment to better explore life goals, transitions, relationships, and various mental health concerns. My treatment approaches range from a strength-based approach, with orientations in cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, family system, and trauma focused approaches.
